EXPERIENCE THE HISTORICAL AND SACRED LANDS OF CENTRAL MONGOLIA, ON FOOT AND HORSEBACK

TEMPLE VALLEY NOMAD FAMILY

THE NOMAD FAMILY SETTLED IN THE VALLEY OF MOUNTAIN TEMPLE

The couple of horse breeders we work with are named Mende (the Wife), and Ganzorig (the husband). They live by the land, thanks to their many horses and especially the mares they milk to produce dairies and the iconic Airag, or fermented mares’ milk. Their Airag is very fresh, and the taste must be tried by any traveler crossing their land. During our time around their camp, we will observe their daily tasks, like the milking, gathering the horses, but also we will sit down and talk about their family roots connected to Buddhism, and how one of their sons chose to become a monk, currently living and working at the Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar.

This land is charged with lots of energies, and feels really peaceful. This entire region is charged with History as well, making it a very attractive option between other main sites of interest in our journeys.
